Phillip Boyle joined the School of Government as an adjunct instructor in 1999. He is president of Leading and Governing Associates, a governance education and consulting practice that works with elected and appointed officials. In addition to his work at the School of Government, Boyle has taught in graduate programs in public policy and administration, leadership, and ethics for Regis University and the University of Colorado. His articles about public decision making, the role of elected boards, public engagement, and strategic navigation have appeared in Public Management, Nation's Cities Weekly, Popular Government, American School Board Journal, ICMA's IQ Report, and the Journal of Public Affairs Education. Boyle received a BA from Monmouth University, MS from Columbia University, and a PhD from the School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado at Denver.
