Ann McColl joined the School in August 2007 for a one-year term as a visiting associate professor. She is an attorney and an associate professor in the Department of Educational Leadership in the College of Education at UNC-Charlotte. During her visiting term, McColl will conduct legal and policy research on the responsibilities of state and local government for North Carolina's system of public education.
McColl has practiced law in Raleigh and has served as legal counsel and director of policy for the North Carolina School Boards Association and as legal counsel for the North Carolina Association of School Administrators. She is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where she earned a BA and a JD.
