Tyler Mulligan joined the School of Government in 2007. He previously practiced law with Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, PLLC, in Raleigh, focusing on the areas of community development law and economic development law. Prior to private practice, Mulligan served as a diving officer and JAG Corps attorney in the US Navy. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the Connecticut State Bar. Mulligan earned a BA in public policy studies, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Duke University. He earned a JD at Yale Law School, where he was awarded the Yale University Elm-Ivy Award for his clinical work on a neighborhood revitalization project.
