Sejal Zota joined the School of Government in 2007. Prior to that, she was a teaching fellow in the Immigrants Rights Clinic of New York University School of Law and a public defender at the Bronx Defenders. She is the lead author of Immigration Consequences of a Criminal Conviction in North Carolina. Zota earned a BA in economics and public policy studies from Duke University and a JD from New York University School of Law.
