SPA Non-Exempt positions are subject to the overtime provisions of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act while SPA Exempt positions are not.

The University at Chapel Hill requires that all candidates for positions categorized as SPA apply through an online application process at Jobs at Carolina. - From the SPA and EPA Non-Faculty Position Search page, go to the drop-down box by Department and select School of Government.
- This selection will provide a list of all open staff positions in the School of Government.
- Click the position you are applying for and then click Apply Now to initiate the application process.
