Daily Bulletin

Subscribe to the School of Government's Daily Bulletin for timely and accurate information about the actions of the North Carolina General Assembly and for legislative history of current and past bills.

The Daily Bulletin provides clear and concise summaries of bills, committee substitutes, and amendments and a complete record of all floor action taken every day. (See a sample issue of the Daily Bulletin.)

Subscribers to the Daily Bulletin also receive web access to complete digests for every version of each bill from 1987 through the current session. Click here to log in.

The Daily Bulletin is e-mailed to subscribers and posted to the Web at the end of each legislative day. At the end of the legislative session, Daily Bulletin subscribers will also receive the Index of Legislation. The Index includes a cumulative report of the status of all bills with local bills organized by county and public bills by subject categories that include each chapter of the General Statutes, appropriations, constitutional amendments, studies, and joint resolutions. It also includes the number and short title of each bill, the most recent action taken with respect to the bill, and the date of the most recent action on the bill. The Index contains a cross-index by bill number, a report indexing all enacted public bills by G.S. Chapter and another listing all enacted legislation in chronological order.

Since 1935, the Legislative Reporting Service has produced the Daily Bulletin and other publications to inform government officials and citizens about the status and content of North Carolina legislation.
