This 1-day course provides detailed guidance in the preparation of the annual audited financial statements and compliance reports for North Carolina local governments. The review process followed by the staff to the Local Government Commission will be reviewed, as will the illustrated statements, GASB Updates, G.S. 159 and GAAP reporting issues.

Credit

Recommended Continuing Professional Education Credit for Certified Public Accountants will be eight (8) hours. The School of Government is registered with the North Carolina State Board of CPA Examiners as a sponsor of continuing professional education. Cancellation policy

Course participants who cancel their registration on or before June 5, 2012 will receive a full refund. Those who cancel on or before June 12, 2012 will receive a full refund, less a $25 cancellation fee. No refund will be made for cancellations made after June 12, 2012. All cancellations must be submitted in writing, as outlined in the School's cancellation policy.
