This leadership development course is intended for public staff involved in redesigning or rebuilding professional or community relationships.  “Facilitating Positive Change” is the focus of this training event.  Appreciative Inquiry is the process tool we will use to guide our practices.

Participants will learn and apply Appreciative Inquiry to:

  • Design ways to strengthen your organization's resilience
  • Build on past successes in implementing change
  • Identify and use the existing assets in any situation
  • Discover additional resources to support your work

The course provides for more than the usual amount of interaction with instructors, and the chance to use the course content and apply it to real-time work scenarious while you are in class. 

Attendees

Managers, department heads, supervisors, executive directors and others who facilitate processes of change or redesign.

Teaching methods

Lectures, exercises, and group discussions.

Cancellation policy

Course participants who cancel their registration on or before April 4, 2012 will receive a full refund. Those who cancel on or before April 11, 2012 will receive a full refund, less a $25 cancellation fee. No refund will be made for cancellations made after April 11, 2012. All cancellations must be submitted in writing, as outlined in the School's cancellation policy.
