Child Welfare Basics: A Course for New County Social Services Attorneys

This course covers laws and procedures applicable to abuse, neglect, dependency and termination of parental rights proceedings - from the drafting of petitions to termination of the court's jurisdiction - under Subchapter 1 of the N.C. Juvenile Code.

Attendees

Attorneys who represent county departments of social services, and paralegals and legal assistants who work with social services attorneys in juvenile cases.

Space is limited and priority will be given to attorneys who have two years or less experience with DSS.
