Advanced Small Claims Court for Magistrates

This 2 1/2 day school is designed for magistrates with substantial experience holding small claims court. The program provides more detail than the introductory course on topics such as judicial demeanor, small claims procedure, contracts, summary ejectment, and negligence. Limited enrollment allows students ample opportunity to ask questions and interact with instructors, practice and receive feedback on judicial skills, and share information and experience with each other.

Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel arrangements. A block of rooms is available at the Hampton Inn, Chapel Hill, at the state rate of $63.90 plus tax, per night.
