Advanced Program for Registers of Deeds

This course will enhance students' knowledge and analytical tools for fulfilling registers' responsibilities and for managing their offices.

Topics included in previous sessions:

Local government; sources of law; public records management; making decisions and exercising discretion; and performance measurement.

Leadership; introduction to real estate law for non-lawyers; public employment law; liability and risk management; advanced register topics; and values and ethics for registers

Certification

Certification available from the NC Association of Registers of Deeds for successfully completing all courses and passing a comprehensive examination.
