Clerk Net

Listserv

The ClerkNet mailing list's aim is to facilitate communication between local government clerks in North Carolina who have common concerns, questions, and interests. The mailing list utilizes e-mail and acts as an electronic mailing list service or a form of group e-mail. The purpose of most listservers is to conduct electronic conferences among individual e-mail users with common interests. If you subscribe, you can send e-mail messages to all other subscribing members, and you will receive copies of any messages sent by other subscribing members. You may reply to postings either by sending mail to the list or by replying to an individual.

Caution!

Be forewarned that some listserver discussion groups are quite active. While some groups only produce a couple of messages a week, others produce more than 50 a day. If you’re not careful, you can quickly fill your disk allocation with this flood of information. If you’re new to using listservs, subscribe to just one or two at a time until you have a feel for the amount of mail you want to read and how active the groups are. This list is open and unmoderated at this time. This means no one approves the messages before they are sent out to members. Participation is open to anyone, although the focus of the discussion and most of the participants are municipal or county clerks working in North Carolina local government.
