Planning Resources > Short CoursesIntroduction to Zoning in North Carolina Introduction to Zoning in North Carolina is a week-long basic course for zoning administrators, planners, and inspectors. The course is designed to acquaint students with the legal frame-work in which zoning operates; to enable students to appreciate and develop regulatory standards and procedures for solving community planning problems; and to help students develop administrative skills useful in issuing permits, handling zoning amendments, and providing customer service.
