This website sets out materials from past annual conferences of North Carolina city and county attorneys. The site was begun in the spring of 2008, and the School of Government intends to post materials from future conferences each winter and summer after each pair of attorney conferences are held. In addition, we have gathered materials from a number of past conferences and included them on the site when we thought them still useful. There are fairly complete materials from the winter conferences for both county and city attorneys from 2003 forward, and a few selected sets of materials from conferences before then.

The materials can be accessed through any of three lists:

  • The first is organized by conference, beginning with one handout from the 1996 city attorneys winter conference and continuing through the most recent set of conferences.
  • The second is organized by presenter. Each set of materials presented by a particular person is grouped under that person’s name.
  • The third is organized by topic, with each presentation about a particular topic listed under that topic heading.
