Training
Our training provides local officials
and practitioners with the knowledge and tools needed
to do their work in community and economic development
more effectively. We offer training in three tracks,
including offerings geared to meet the needs of local
elected officials; a specialized module for small town
elected leaders; and professional development for community
and economic development practitioners. In addition
to introductory economic development courses for public
officials, we offer detailed workshops on specific economic
development strategies through our Critical Topics series.
Though our training programs may be designed for specific
client groups, others may find these opportunities helpful
and are welcome to participate. For instance, our training
for local elected officials may also prove valuable
for some local administrators or economic development
professionals. Specific information on all of our training
can be found by clicking on the links below.
