Resources for Educators

Teaching about local government can be a challenge due to limited classroom time or a lack of familiarity of the subject. However, local government provides the most readily available opportunity to students to experience government first-hand. The NCCCMA Civic Education Project seeks to make teaching about local government easier by offering teacher trainings; on-line access to Local Government in North Carolina, a textbook supplement; and links to interactive lessons on local government.
