annually. Each year, this book summarizes laws enacted
by the North Carolina General Assembly that are of
interest to NC state and local government officials.
Each issue of NC Legislation includes a chapter summarizing
new state health laws. Below are links to electronic

Public Health
Health Law Bulletin No. 87: Regulation of Smoking: Update on Recent State Legislation, by Aimee N. Wall (September 2007)
- This bulletin briefly reviews and summarizes the smoking-related legislation enacted during the 2007 session of the North Carolina General Assembly. It also attempts to respond to some of the questions that are being asked about the changes in the law, with a particular focus on how the law expanded local governments’ authority to regulate smoking.
