Listserv
This listserve is primarily oriented towards
the interests of Nonprofit Liaisons – those governmental
staff members who have job responsibilities that frequently
connect them with nonprofits.
Nonprofit Liaisons can work in any governmental department,
and they generally perform functions such as these:
- Enter into contractual agreements with nonprofits
- Facilitate grant application processes
- Share information with nonprofits
- Develop processes or policies that affect or involve
nonprofits
- Fund and monitor the success of projects that nonprofits
operate
- Engage in community problem-solving activities
with nonprofits
We also invite other members of the Public
Intersection to join as well, since you likely share
similar interests. In particular, staff of
philanthropies and nonprofit staff who interact with
local governments might benefit from the information
shared through this listserv.
Listserv members receive updates on the training opportunities
and publications offered by our project, and you will
have a venue in which to share information or engage
in problem-solving with each other.
The listserv is unmoderated. No one approves the messages
before they are sent out to members.
