
Brad Mallard works to advance the School's fundraising priorities. Working closely with the associate dean for advancement and other team members, he oversees general advancement operations as well as programs for annual giving, alumni relations, and major giving. As part of the Campaign for Carolina, his efforts support both the School’s mission of improving local and state government in North Carolina and the University's mission of public service. Prior to joining the School in 2018, Mallard was director of advancement services in the Duke Law School Alumni and Development Office and also held positions in the Office of Prospect Research, Management, and Analytics in the Duke University Office of Development. He has also worked as a middle school and high school teacher. Mallard holds a BA in English and a master’s in teaching from UNC-Chapel Hill.
