Emily McCartha

Adjunct Instructor, MPA Program

Emily B. McCartha joined the MPA faculty as an adjunct instructor in 2016. She is currently working to finish her PhD in Public Administration at North Carolina State University. While at NCSU she has taught undergraduate courses for the Political Science Department and worked on several research teams. Her research has appeared in Public Administration Review. Previously, she worked for an arts education nonprofit collaborative in Austin, Texas that convened stakeholders from the public school system, the city, arts education providers, and the philanthropic community to improve service delivery. Her research interests center on the relational and environmental factors that influence multi-sector collaboratives. She earned her MPA from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin as well as a BA in Urban Studies, also from UT Austin.
