Child Support Enforcement

This course is sponsored by UNC School of Government, and Office of Indigent Defense Services.

This program provides training for attorneys who represent alleged contemnors in child support enforcement proceedings. Sessions will focus on civil contempt, advocacy in-and-out of the courtroom, evidence, and other issues relevant to respondent representation.

Agenda: The agenda can be found here

Fee: The registration fee for private assigned counsel and managed assigned counsel is $160. There is no fee for IDS state employees.

Scholarships: All scholarships have been awarded at this time.

Credit: The program will offer 5 hours of continuing legal education (CLE) credit, including one hour of ethics, pending State Bar approval.
