The Joseph Palmer Knapp Library houses a large collection of material on state and local government, public administration, and management to support the School's instructional and research programs and the educational mission of the Master of Public Administration program. Reference and research services are available to all residents of North Carolina, and additional assistance is available to state and local government personnel, both elected and appointed.

The UNC School of Government invites you to attend a workshop on "Making a Powerful First Impression." Topics include the handshake, eye contact, introducing yourself, and the effective elevator pitch. Joy Javits, president of In The Public Eye, will teach small group sessions designed to provide one-on-one feedback in an intimate setting. Registration is limited to 30 attendees (10 per session) and will be made on a first-come first-served basis. Sessions will be held from 10:00 am-12:00 pm, 12:30-2:30 pm, and 3:00-5:00 pm. Please sign up for one of these sessions.
