The Nature of Delinquency Proceedings

The Nature of Delinquency Proceedings, part one of the Delinquency Disposition online series, is designed to provide a basic overview of delinquency proceedings. Topics include a brief history of juvenile justice in the U.S.; the primary goals of delinquency proceedings; jurisdiction; and differences between delinquency and criminal proceedings. This module from 2011 is narrated by School of Government Professor Janet Mason and Whitney Fairbanks.
