Putting PCI in Perspective – Security & Compliance Aligned

This course is sponsored by UNC Center for Public Technology, and NCLGISA.

More expedient revenue / fee collections and launching of new services to your residents are just a few of the advantages of taking credit card transactions.  Along with those benefits, come compliance responsibilities and challenges.  This seminar is designed to provide you with current knowledge to assist you with this balancing act, while making you more secure as well.  Regardless of where your organization is with respect to achieving compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard, you can come away with help in understanding and implementing the standard and the data security best practices it is built upon.

Starting with a brief 101 session, we’ll discuss the players in the process, recent developments, how to define and limit your scope for compliance and how PCI relates to other compliance standards and security best practices.  You will have access to PCI Qualified Security Assessors (QSA’s)( who are provided status by the PCI Security Standards Council as official interpreters of the standard) during our Quiz the QSA session.
