2020 Local Government Legislative Review Webinar Part 1
Legislative Summaries for 2020
The UNC School of Government is offering this webinar early in the legislative short session to review recently enacted legislation of interest to local governments. One or more additional webinars will be offered later in the year as appropriate. Topics to be addressed in Part 1 include:
- State COVID-19 budget overview
- Emergency management
- Communicable disease control
- Confidentiality
- Electronic meetings
- Liability
- Land use law and planning
- Property tax
- Local government finance
- State-funded small business loans
A timed agenda will be posted before the program. There will be a 30-45 minute break in the middle of the program.
This webinar will be recorded and available on-demand by Monday after the webinar at the latest.
The registration fee is listed for $150, but to make our regular courses more accessible during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are offering a 25% discount on registration fees for programs that begin between March 23 through June 30 that are to be held online. The discount will be applied automatically at checkout. For tracking CLE credits and attendance, once you purchase access to the webinar you will need to register through Zoom to receive the login information.
This on-demand webinar provides 2.75 general credit hours with course approval from the NC State Bar (course number 79). Attorneys wishing to receive CLE credit for this webinar must be directly registered for the webinar.
