"Probation Violations" provides an introduction to defending probation violation cases and includes a discussion on hearing procedures, potential outcomes, and defenses. The presentation also highlights changes to probation law under the Justice Reinvestment Act (S.L. 2011-192). UNC School of Government Assistant Professor Jamie Markham presented this session at the 2012 New Misdemeanor Defender Training. Professor Markham works in the area of criminal procedure and focuses on the law of sentencing and corrections.
