The program is designed to cover "hot topics" that are of interest to social services directors and administrators. Social services attorneys and paralegals are also invited to attend.

Topics in 2018 will include:

Constitutional issues and hot topics in child welfare
Public records
Liability
Elder abuse
Ransomware attacks

We will also be using some time during the conference to focus on the Social Services Working Group (SSWG). We will answer questions about the work completed in Stage One and then break into smaller groups to have discussions about the issues facing SSWG in Stage Two. The goal is to gather feedback from the directors to inform the work of the SSWG in developing (1) recommendations related to intercounty collaboration and (2) a vision for transitioning to a system of regional administration.

We are offering two types of registration:

Full program: This will cover both days of the program, including the SSWG feedback session. The registration fee is $225. Please note that those who register for the full program are not being charged for lunch or expenses related to the SSWG feedback session. Those costs are covered by other sources.
SSWG feedback session only: Social services directors who are not able to attend the full program but would like to participate only in the feedback session (June 28, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) may register for this more limited option. There is no registration fee. Lunch and parking will be provided.

The program will begin at 10 a.m. on June 27 and end by 2 p.m. on June 28. The detailed agenda will be posted under the materials tab in the coming weeks.

We have requested a total of 6.25 hours of general CLE credit.

Additional information

An announcement will be sent to all registrants when materials are available for downloading/printing. Printed copies will not be provided at the conference. If you would like to have hard copies of materials for reference at the conference, please print and bring them with you.
