Knapp Library
The Joseph Palmer Knapp Library houses a large collection of material on state and local government, public administration, and management to support the School's instructional and research programs and the educational mission of the Master of Public Administration program. Reference and research services are available to all residents of North Carolina, and additional assistance is available to state and local government personnel, both elected and appointed.
- Covid-19 Response

Beth Crutchfield joined the School of Government in 2020 as the School of Government Foundation Board's accountant. Previously, she served as a senior budget analyst for the UNC System Office. In that role, Beth managed all Budget Office operations for the System Office. Prior to that, she served in multiple positions at UNC–Chapel Hill. She served as the Senior Accountant in the Renaissance Computing Institute (RENCI), Assistant Contract Specialist and Pre-Audit Technician in the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR), and Accounting Technician in the Department of Pharmacology at UNC–Chapel Hill. She has a total of 25 years of service within the UNC System.
