Legal Basics for Health and Social Services Directors

and Administrators

This course provides an introduction to issues related to health and social services law including employment law, liability of counties and county employees, budgeting, purchasing, conflicts of interest, public records, and open meetings. In addition, specialized tracks will address legal issues of particular concern to each type of agency. For example, health directors will discuss remedies for public health law violations, and social services directors will discuss confidentiality of DSS records.
