ABCs of social services for county social services
board members
This one-day training program provides social services board members with information about public assistance and social services programs provided by county departments of social services. The program addresses the roles and responsibilities of board members and the role of the federal, state, and county governments with respect to the administration and financing of social services programs.

Newly-appointed social services board members and social services board members who have not previously attended this program are strongly encouraged to attend. Experienced social services board members, board members who have previously completed this training program, county social services directors, county commissioners, county managers, and other public officials are welcome on a space-available basis. |

The training program will be offered on Monday, September 8 in Asheville and on Wednesday, September 10 in Kinston. The Asheville session will be held at the UNC-Asheville Reuter Center
