This course covers the policy and legal framework of budget preparation and enactment in North Carolina local government. It also presents the numerous processes, techniques, and behavioral aspects of budget development as they relate to producing an annual balanced budget ordinance, which is required by the Local Government Budget and Fiscal Control Act.
City and county managers, finance officers and staff, budget administrators and analysts, and others who have responsibilities for annual budget preparation.

Teaching Methods: Lectures, class discussions, case studies and referral to actual experiences as teaching methods.

Course participants who cancel their registration on or before October 27, 2009, will receive a full refund.
