Basic Register of Deeds School

This course covers the basic operations of the office of register of deeds. The class provides instruction on the following topics: organization of the office; deputies and assistants; bonding requirements and liability insurance; recording and indexing real property instruments; recording maps and plats; correcting errors on recorded instruments; canceling deeds of trust; recording Uniform Commercial Code documents; and other miscellaneous duties.

Cancellation
Policy

Course participants who cancel their registration on or before November 03, 2009, will receive a full refund. Those who cancel on or before November 10, 2009, will receive a full refund, less a $25 cancellation fee. No refund will be made for cancellations made after November 10, 2009. All cancellations must be submitted in writing, as outlined in the School's cancellation policy.
