Introduction to Zoning

This basic course covers the nature of the zoning ordinance and the legal and administrative issues involved in adopting, enforcing, and amending the ordinance. The course will acquaint students with the legal framework of zoning and will enable students to appreciate and develop regulatory standards and procedures for solving community planning problems. In addition, students will develop administrative skills useful in issuing permits, handling zoning amendments, and providing customer service.
