North Carolina Planning Conference

This annual conference features lectures, panel discussions, and basic instruction in selected topics relating to planning, zoning, housing, transportation, economic development, and other aspects of city and county planning. Topics covered during previous conferences have included politics and planning; growth analysis using Community Viz GIS software; ethics in the workplace; integrating air quality, land use, and transportation planning locally and regionally; growth management and residential development; and incorporating economic forecasting into land planning.

The conference will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center.

The reception will be held at the Museum of Natural Sciences on September 25, 6:30-8:30pm.

Conference registration closes September 19, 2008. Requests for refunds will be honored if received no later than September 19. After September 19 the fee is not refundable absent a personal hardship. Email the request for refund to sheffield@sog.unc.edu.
