WaterVision: The Future of Water Resources in

North Carolina

The southeastern United States has been in extreme drought for much of the first decade of the 21st century. Our state is reexamining its system for allocating water, and citizens are looking to their local leaders for answers.

  • How can local leaders contribute to the resilience and sustainability of their community's water supply?
  • What changes do we need to make to be better prepared for water demands into the future?

This mini-conference, offered through the Local Elected Leaders Academy, will help prepare local elected leaders for the water challenges that lie ahead. Join other local leaders from across the state to examine these critical issues, share ideas, and gain a "big picture" perspective on water resources in North Carolina.
