Community Development Academy

This intensive course covers the concepts, methods, and strategies of community development. With an emphasis on the administration of Community Development Block Grants for both Small Cities and Entitlement Jurisdictions, the course provides community development practitioners with significant perspective and practical skills on the regulations and legal responsibilities surrounding community development in North Carolina. 6 days (two 3-day sessions)
Certification
The training enables each participant to receive a Certificate of completion, awarded by the School of Government and the North Carolina Department of Commerce, Division of Community Assistance. In order to receive a certificate, participants must attend the entire training course and successfully complete an open-book exam.
