I lead the planning for Public Law for the Public’s Lawyers (PLPL). The course addresses issues relevant to attorneys who work in or with North Carolina state government. That means a focus on legislative branch and executive branch information and issues, typically. We usually offer the program in the fall and plan for 12 hours of CLE. This year’s offering will be entirely online, via Zoom, over three days. We will offer post-event recordings for viewing as well.

The availability of videos after the event will be different than in previous years. In previous years, we held events that you could attend where the program was replayed as a video. For this year, the program will be available as on-demand videos for individualized viewing from your own work station after the event.

2025 Public Law for the Public's Lawyer Agenda

To receive CLE credit, individuals must register and attend the full course. Upon completion, the program manager will submit your hours to the NC Bar (paralegals see below). No form will be required for attorneys who qualify for the full 12 hours of credit.

If you miss any sessions and still want to receive credit, please reach out to the program manager to make arrangements. However, if you do not require the full 12 hours of CLE, complete the Partial Credit Form and email it to the program manager. NOTE: If we do not hear from you by Nov. 14th, your name will be submitted for the full 12 hours of credit.

For paralegals, complete this attendance form for course credit and email it to the program manager. The CLE Liaison will sign and return the form to you for self-reporting.
