Advanced Juvenile Defender Training

This course is sponsored by .

The Advanced Juvenile Defender Training focuses on trial advocacy in juvenile delinquency proceedings. Participants use their own cases to develop a cohesive theory of defense and to apply that theory throughout the case, including disposition. Through a combination of lecture and small group work, participants refine important skills, in areas such as probable cause hearings, suppression and capacity. Ethics and substance abuse/mental health sessions are also included. For information about other indigent defense education courses, visit our Indigent Defense Education site.
