Christy Ihlo joined the Environmental Finance Center at the School of Government as the deputy director in 2021. She brings a diverse background including program management, monitoring and evaluation, technical report writing, spatial analysis, and international fieldwork. During her career, Christy established and directed a monitoring and evaluation department for an NGO in rural Tanzania, helped to coordinate a national multi-organization initiative that culminated in the production of The Federal Resource Management and Ecosystem Services Guidebook, and led a community conservation group with 150 members.
Christy has a master’s degree in environmental management from Duke University and a bachelor of science degree from the University of Tampa.
