Eric Thomas joined the School of Government in June of 2015 as a project manager and design specialist with the Development Finance Initiative. From 2011–2014, Eric served as a research associate with the Center for Sustainable Community Design at UNC’s Institute of the Environment. Previously, he was a community planner for Washington DC’s parks and recreation department. Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in urban studies from Brown University, an M.A. in city and regional planning with a specialty in placemaking and real estate development, and an M.A. in landscape architecture from North Carolina State University.
