Knapp Library
The Joseph Palmer Knapp Library houses a large collection of material on state and local government, public administration, and management to support the School's instructional and research programs and the educational mission of the Master of Public Administration program. Reference and research services are available to all residents of North Carolina, and additional assistance is available to state and local government personnel, both elected and appointed.
- Covid-19 Response

John L. Saxon was a member of the faculty at the School of Government from 1992, then the Institute of Government, to 2010. He is author/editor of several manuals, including North Carolina Legislation 1997, North Carolina Legislation 1998, The Law and Elderly in North Carolina, Social Services in North Carolina, and North Carolina Guardianship Manual. Areas of expertise included social services law, child support, elder law, and family policy. He earned a JD from Antioch School of Law.
