Opioid Response Project Releases Community Guide

The Opioid Response Project (ORP) team recently released a community guide, created to provide insights from the ORP experience and to draw on expertise and resources to assist communities that are interested in pursuing a similar process for addressing “wicked” problems using a collective impact model.

While the ORP is used as an example throughout this guidebook, the process, resources, worksheets, and lessons provided in its chapters could be used to address any number of complex, inter-jurisdictional problems. In addition to the community guide, a categorized and searchable database of resources can be found on the Opioid Response Project website

The School of Government is proud to have partnered with Blue Cross NC to create the Opioid Response Project, aimed at assisting communities in North Carolina in creating collaborative, long-term, comprehensive plans to reduce the effects of the opioid epidemic.
