Arrest, Search, and Investigation for Superior Court Judges

No area of law has been changing faster than the law of arrest, search, and investigation. Over the past few years, the United States Supreme Court has issued important opinions on drug dogs, traffic stops, and digital evidence. Meanwhile, the news media and the public have begun to focus more closely on the role that race plays in interactions between law enforcement and the public. And new cases and statutory amendments have further complicated traditionally difficult areas like checkpoints and probation searches. This two-day course will cover all these topics and more. Speakers will include School of Government faculty members, law professors from several highly-regarded schools, and superior court judges.
