Civil Contempt in Proceedings Before the Clerk

During this session, we will discuss the different types of contempt (civil and criminal).  We will then focus our discussion on civil contempt in proceedings before the clerk.  We will review, in particular, the procedure applicable to compelling inventories and accounts in estates, trusts, and guardianship proceedings, and the use of civil contempt as a tool in the clerk’s toolbox to obtain required filings.
