Orientation for New Chief District Court Judges

This course is offered for judges who are new to the position of chief district court judges. Both new chief district court and senior resident superior court judges meet together for part of the program, and separately for other portions. The program covers a variety of topics related to administration of the court, including the role of the chief district judge; scheduling; performance measures; facilities and court security; case management; human resources; and court leadership.Instructors include experienced judges. Part of the program is spent at the Judicial Center in Raleigh to learn more about Administrative Office of the Court services.
