Post-Conviction Proceedings for Superior Court Judges
This course is designed to help judges effectively rule on issues that arise after conviction in a criminal case. It is a small-group, skills-based training in which judges will actively participate. Coverage includes: Procedural issues related to motions for appropriate relief; substantive claims such as ineffective assistance of counsel and sentencing errors; post-conviction sex offender registration proceedings; habeas corpus; post-conviction DNA testing; and expunctions and certificates of relief.
