Anne Dellinger was a member of the faculty at the School of Government from 1974, then the Institute of Government, until 2005. She is the author of numerous publications and is a former president of the North Carolina Society of Health Care Attorneys. In 1980–81, she was special assistant to William H. Webster, director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and from 1993–1995 served as counsel in the health law practice of Hogan & Hartson, in Washington, DC. Dellinger earned a law degree from Duke University.
