William Taylor

Data Analyst, Criminal Justice Innovation Lab

As data analyst for the Criminal Justice Innovation Lab, William Daniel Taylor provides statistical computing support and report writing for projects promoting an equitable and efficient criminal justice system. His research interests include quantitative methodologies, reproducible research, and pretrial detention.

Previously, Taylor conducted empirical research at UNC-Chapel Hill, the University of Southern California, and Duke University. 

He joined the School of Government in 2023. Taylor is a 2022 alumnus of the American Political Science Association Ralph Bunche Summer Institute, hosted annually at Duke University. He is a member of various professional organizations, including the National Conference of Black Political Scientists, the Society for Political Methodology, and the National Society of Black Engineers.

Taylor earned dual bachelor's degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill.
