Knapp Library

The Joseph Palmer Knapp Library houses a large collection of material on state and local government, public administration, and management to support the School's instructional and research programs and the educational mission of the Master of Public Administration program. Reference and research services are available to all residents of North Carolina, and additional assistance is available to state and local government personnel, both elected and appointed.

Dear Clerks, Deputy Clerks, and COG Clerks/Secretaries:

“Calm in the Chaos” is the theme for the NC Association of County Clerks’ 37^th Annual Conference. I encourage all of you to attend the Annual Conference in Cleveland County at the Le Grande Center, April 9-12, 2024. Cleveland County Host Clerk Phyllis Nowlen has been working diligently with the Professional Development & Program Committee, chaired by the Association Vice President Melissa Long, and our UNC School of Government Advisor Kristina Wilson to develop a great agenda for the event and to ensure this will be a wonderful conference!

I cannot wait to see you all in Shelby in April. As always, please make it a point to visit with our vendors during the conference and I invite you to bring a door prize and items for the goody bags. To participate in the door prize drawing, you will need to bring a door prize to the conference.

Thank you all for your continued dedication to your organizations, our Association, and the clerk profession!
