Engaging Women of Color: Build Your Resilience, Level Up Your Vision

This course will take place via Zoom from 10 am–3 pm with a break at noon for lunch.
Women of color in local government leadership face significant and unique challenges driven by the intersectionality of race and gender. These normal challenges—with a global pandemic and racial injustice—provide a challenging professional environment in which women of color operate. In response, this workshop will make time and space for women of color to talk through these challenges, learn about strategies for building resilience, create a personal vision for work and life, and network with other local government professional women of color.
- Dr. Tammie Moore will highlight the importance of overall health and wellness, creating a space for discussing the unique challenges of women of color in local government leadership and providing strategies for achieving and maintaining resilience in the workplace.
- Derek Ross will coach participants on mapping out a clear vision for their present and future, and drafting a blueprint for the life, career, and brand they desire to create.
